User Terms & Conditions


1. Scope

You can access and browse this website anonymously, without disclosing your personal information. By signing up for a member account you may contribute to the website.

These terms and conditions apply to all members' access, use of, and contribution to, this website. By registering, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These may change from time to time and you should visit our website regularly to check for updates. If you break the rules in any way, your membership will be suspended immediately and without explanation.

2.1 Member Use

This website is a service provided by Trails WA to enable registered members of this website to contribute comments to the website, upload images and discuss comments made by others. The website must only be used by members for personal and non-commercial purposes.

2.2 Membership registration to be accurate

To contribute to this website, you must have a registered user name and password or sign in using Facebook.  You must provide us with your real name and a valid email address.  Please don't impersonate other people! We may publish your real name under any contributions you make on the website but we will not make your email address publicly available.

2.3 No multiple logins or user names

Only one user name must be created per participant. You should not use multiple user names or logins. Use of multiple logins may result in the suspension or cancellation of your membership without notice.

2.4 No Spam or email harvesting

We won't tolerate any members who in any way try to, or help others to, harvest email addresses for any purpose whatsoever.

3.1 Intellectual property

Material which infringes on another person's copyright must not be added. Upon contributing text or images to this website, you warrant to Trails WA that the text and images are your own original work that they are not defamatory and do not infringe on any law in the State of Western Australia.

3.2 Licences over uploaded material

By contributing text or images to this website, you grant Trails WA a perpetual, non-exclusive and irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt and publish any of your contributions for any of Trails WA’s projects, media and promotions.

3.3 Members accountable for contributions

Trails WA is not responsible for any actions, claims, proceedings or liabilities arising from your failure to adhere to our terms and conditions. You are responsible for all statements made by you, and for acts that occur through the use of your username and password. By using our website, you agree to indemnify Trails WA, its employees and agents, against all claims, demands, damages, costs, penalties and liabilities caused by your breach of these terms and conditions or your use of our website.

4.1 Contributions

Contributions or edits to contributions published on this website and on trailtalk.com.au should be factual, descriptive and must relate to the topic.

Your comments and submissions are welcome. You are encouraged to join the open conversation and debate among your fellow members. All we ask is that you participate in a lawful manner and that you ensure that contributions you post do not include content which is:

  • offensive, derogatory or attacking of another member, Trails WA, or employees of Trails WA;
  • racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or contain swear words;
  • statements in breach of a law, or which encourage unlawful activity, in particular a breach of copyright, threatening or intimidating statements, or an act which may amount to defamation;
  • descriptions or encouragement of activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others;
  • content, viruses or programs that are harmful or could cause damage to a computer, software program, network or server;
  • personal information about yourself or another member or person;
  • spam, copies of existing contributions, commercial advertising or promotion;
  • links to other websites which do not contribute or are not relevant to the park management; and
  • false or mischievous complaints or statements about individuals, companies or the government.


4.2 Contributions to declare associations and affiliations

In the interests of fair game, Trails WA requires you to be open and honest about your affiliations or associations when making contributions. Where appropriate, you must jot these down at the end of your contributions.

4.3 Contributions must be in English

So that Trails WA can monitor the website, all contributions must be submitted in English.

4.4 Censorship

Trails WA will moderate the contents of this website in accordance with the terms on this page. You can notify Trails WA of any content that you consider offensive or a breach of these terms and conditions by contacting us.

If you are the owner of any text or images which you believe have been used without your permission, please contact us so that we can arrange for the content to be removed.

4.5 Disciplinary action

If you don't follow our rules, Trails WA may at any time (and without prior notice) delete any contributions or terminate your membership. Members may also be suspended for a period of time at any time and at our discretion.

5.1 No warranty

We can't and we don't warrant the completeness or accuracy of any of the content found on our website, or its usefulness for any particular purpose. Nor do we represent or warrant that the content on the website complies with the laws of any country. If you access the website from outside Australia, you do so at your own risk. While we try to keep the website open and functioning day and night, we can't promise that the website will be delivered to you uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Trails WA does not endorse or promote any opinion or representation published on the website. Trails WA will not accept any responsibility arising from any reliance placed by a person or entity on any comment or information published on the website
