The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is back for another year, and Rapid Ascent is inviting local clubs, groups, and individuals to get involved in this iconic South West WA endurance event! Taking place over the weekend of 10–11 May 2025, this spectacular trail running event includes an 80km ultra marathon and a 42km marathon, with solo and relay team options available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs to raise funds while supporting runners on their journey and being part of an exciting local event. Rapid Ascent will donate $15 per hour per volunteer, and helpers do not need to be club members – partners, friends, family members, and responsible kids are all welcome to take part!
Volunteer Roles Available:
There are a variety of roles available across the event, including:
- Helping at athlete registration
- Assisting at athlete aid stations (handing out runner’s bags, filling drink bottles, handing out food, offering support and encouragement)
- Marshalling out on the course
- Assisting with parking management at some aid stations
- Handing out medals and assisting athletes at the finish lin
- Sweeping the course behind the last competitors (ideal for keen runners and walkers)

- Gracetown Community Hall: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
