Join Beelya Cultural Tours this Kambarang for a Cultural Walking Tour at Forrestdale Lake Wetlands.
As part of the Six Seasons Trail Series, this is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the world's oldest living culture while exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the Noongar Boodja.
Forrestdale Lake, a semi-permanent body of fresh brackish water nestled between sand dunes, is an important conservation area. It is listed on the National Estate Register and designated as a Ramsar Wetland of International Significance. Known for its rich biodiversity, the area also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities.
During the Kambarang season, the landscape bursts into colour with the arrival of vibrant wildflowers. One of the standout displays of the season is the Mooja (Australian Christmas Tree - Nuytsia), whose striking orange and yellow blooms signal the arrival of warmer days ahead.
Come and experience the beauty of Kambarang, gain insights into the cultural significance of the land, and discover the extraordinary plant and animal life that thrives in this unique environment.
