Learn moreTurner Hill is nearly everyone's favourite trail. Despite being 1.25 hours drive from Perth it is worth the trek to blast out a couple of laps of this all singletrack loop. There are plenty of rocks and obstacles to keep you on your toes and keen to do another lap or two.
In addition to the main 11km loop, there is a short cut which makes shortens the trail to only 5km, whilst still keeping all the fun bits, and a fairly new 1.1km Green rated kids loop.
Getting There:
From Perth, travelling south on South Western Highway, turn left into Del Park Rd at North Dandalup, after about 10k turn RIGHT onto Scarp Road. (Don't let the Scarp Road to your left a few km's back confuse you! It's definitely on your RIGHT if you're following these directions.) You will see a little Munda Biddi sign at the trail crossing the road about 50m before you see the Turner Hill sign. The access road is graded dirt for a couple of km. Follow the signs in to the trail head.
From Perth CBD it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to drive there.
Route Directions:
The trails heads off from the north side of the car park. Follow the singeltrack loop in a clockwise direction.
The full loop is 10.5km long. There is a short cut to shorten this to 5.4km.
There is also a 1.1km green rated kids loop starting from the car park.
Tips: Try the short loop - still all the fun bits but without the long climb.
