Great park area. Loved the green space with tress and shade everywhere. Nice inclines on the bush walk and fantastic views of the city. Worth the trip.

A lovely short walk from Perry House to the summit with really great views of the city, ocean and the hills. Went at sunset on New Year's Eve; sure beats the crowds over at the beach. It's listed as a dog-friendly park and I'm always looking for nice places to take my dog. However, be warned, the boardwalk is not a boardwalk at all. It's a cattle grid style walk, which is perfectly fine for humans wearing shoes, but definitely not good for tender doggy feet. Didn't explore any of the other trails as we were running out of daylight, but will certainly go back there again, with the dog, to try out the many other trail options. There's a really great skateboard park at Perry Lakes too and it was lovely to see fathers and sons skating there together.

The top of this walk features some of the best views of Perth and out to Rottnest Island. I suggest walking the connecting trails in the lower sections and finishing at the top. Earn the views and enjoy a mini summit experience.

The Boardwalk is a great lookout with some nice views, easily accessible from a carpark or if you walk any of the trails starting from the Perry Lakes side of Bold Park. Also take the trail opposite the boardwalk along the top of the hill for some nice views of the ocean. Bold Park is a nice bush park close to the city, definitely worth checking out and even have a picnic in Perry Lakes. Watch out for the Kookaburras - they may eat your food!

I wouldn't really class this as its own walk, as its a tiny part of what's available at bold park. But the views from the top are pretty cool. Keep in mind the carpark at the top of bold hill can get full quickly on weekends. As a previous commenter said, I recommend walking up the scenic walk from Perry House and then taking some of the other trails through the park. You can get some good views of the beach and the city from the trails as well. Bold park was my go-to exercise destination for a long time when I lived in the area - the hills and loops make it a good training spot for extended hiking trips. You can even take your dogs (on-leash) which is nice.
