About the Trail

This one kilometre loop branches off the Jarrambayah trail in Geike Gorge.  Discover the weathered remants of the limestone Devonian reef, formed more than 360 million years ago.

The Devonian reef is a prominant landmark, standing 50-100 metres above the surrounding plains. The Fitzroy river cut through this limestone to form the 14 kilometre long Geike Gorge, with walls as high as 60 metres.
