Pemberton is an all-year-round destination with many trails wending their way through the magnificent karri forest. Long recognised for excellent bushwalking, the town now has an exciting network of mountain bike trails and the facilities to go with it including bike hire, bike repairs and other trail friendly businesses.
Two of WA’s long-distance trails, the Bibbulmun Track and the Munda Biddi, both pass through the town and it’s a great place to base yourself to explore shorter sections of these trails.
Pemberton offers a large variety of other activities including fishing, canoeing, horse riding, guided wildflower and eco-tours and self-drive trails. You’ll also find more than fifty local wineries and cellar doors. Pemberton is renowned for fine dining and gourmet food, as well as simple, wholesome, café style cuisine.
The town is located 335 kilometres south of Perth, a journey of about four hours. Being equidistant from Margaret River and Walpole, Pemberton is an ideal base. TransWA buses stop outside the Visitor Centre.
