  • Less than 1 hour
  • 1 km
    • Mountain Bike Moderate

Recommended for moderate intermediate riders with some technical mountain biking experience. Typically narrow trails with loose, soft, rocky or slippery sections and hills with short steep sections. Riders will encounter obstacles and technical trail features.

Word is that drop bears inhabit straight sections of track, so this hand built trail is all about corners. Drop Bear is a fun, flowy trail that will test your cornering skills but leave you with a big, wide grin.

Drop Bear is accessed via the trailhead at the north side of the ‘Pump Hill’ trails. It shares its entry with Longshanks but forks to the right a few metres in. Word is that drop bears inhabit straight sections of track, so this trail is all about corners. The trail is suitable for beginner to intermediate riders, but even experienced riders will enjoy its tight corners and natural berms that create a flowy, non-stop ride to the bottom. Riders will have their cornering, braking and bike manoeuvring skills put to the test as this trail only rides better and faster once you connect all the elements.

Locals Tip: This trail rides like a dream when the soil is tacky and grippy.

Great trail fast flowing and fun lower end of the intermediate trail with just one drop onto the road at the end that's quite big. Easy to climb up to the top either on the road or on the green route next to it.

Supported by great organisations

Trails are free and bring so many benefits to our community by providing opportunities to have fun, get fit, socialise, explore and challenge yourself. But they also have to be managed and maintained which only is made possible through terrific sponsors, donations and/or volunteering.
